This painting is of facing the beginning of one of the lakes on the Sayward Lakes Canoe Circuit from a logging road.  The little lake was just so blue and full of life.  I wanted to capture that feeling you have on a summer day when there’s not a cloud in the sky and there are so many options for adventure ahead – a feeling of anticipation.
