Little Tribe: Artist acrylic painting of little brown birds, or sparrows, in a yellow leaved maple tree filled with colourful birdhouses

Little Tribe 2012

In this cheerful painting, little brown birds or sparrows are living within a community of colourful bird houses.  I painted this in recognition of the community that I live in, the Comox Valley, where I have many friends who share common values.  This sense of community is very comforting as it creates a sense of resilience.  We celebrate life’s milestones together but also know that nobody has to go through hardships alone.  Our friends and family will always receive help when they ask and are also willing to help when needed.   In this way, we are going through life’s journey together.
