Acrylics: Painting a Matisse Still-Life

Discover the joy of working with acrylics as you complete your own Matisse-inspired still life painting.  Matisse, who was the leader of the Fauvism art movement, used vibrant colours, decorative patterns and simple forms to create striking images.  After an introduction to materials and basic colour theory, you will learn a bit about the artist and his style.  Then you will be guided through aspects of the painting process including sketching out a composition, colour mixing and paint techniques.
