Drawing: The Urban Landscape

Prerequisite:  Drawing the Right Approach, or similar experience.

In this class, learn how to capture scenes that we may see in everyday life or while travelling, including buildings, streets, vehicles or people.  Working from reference photos and master’s drawings, you will discover how to create interesting compositions by simplifying details and finding focal points.  Also gain confidence using sighting techniques and understanding one, two and three point perspective which are especially helpful for drawing architecture.   You will also experiment with materials often used in urban sketching, such as graphite, pen and watercolour pencils.
