Tofino Heart I
Tofino Heart I 2014
I have spent many family vacations on Chesterman’s Beach in Tofino. This painting I actually had the chance to paint in location at the house we often stayed in. I thought of the heart as disappearing or fading, I wanted it to become part of the landscape. Or like it was a large piece of glass that when you look through you maybe see things a little differently; brighter or clearer, like you do when in love or having another peak experience.
