Gathering

Gathering, 2019

The reference for this was from a photo a friend took at a gathering for another friend who had recently died.  Everyone got together at this palette fire to be together and support each other during a difficult time.  In the photo I liked how the circle of figures in perspective made an ellipse, and how the fire was a common element that united everyone together.

Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.  Ann Landers
