Winter Trail

Winter Trail, 2019

Winter Trail is a view from a mountain on Vancouver Island that’s popular for backcountry ski day trips.  The ski tracks lead the viewer’s eye into the painting and towards the distant view of the ocean.   Here it is common to brag about skiing and golfing or biking in the same day as the weather is generally fairly mild in winter – the snow often just stays on the mountains.
