In an area close to where I live, there are a few wetlands, sometimes created by a local busy beaver. Within the otherwise non-descript, second-growth forest, these places have surprising beauty and host a variety of wildlife.
When the water is flat and clear it gives you a reverse picture of the surrounding forest and sky. Sometimes staring into the water I imagine, what if it the reflection was a real world that existed. What if I could just step into the limitless expanse and step onto the clouds.
