Dust Witch is named after a mountain biking trail at Comox Lake on Vancouver Island. This is based on a photo a friend took of my husband.  I was drawn to the line of dust that followed him down the mountain and the white pattern of sticks and logs.  This painting describes how I feel about our lives right now, with lots happening around us and time moving fast.  Also not to mention the reference to the drought and dryness of the land in recent years.
