Acrylics - Understanding Light and Dark

This class is for those who have some painting experience, have taken “Getting Started with Acrylics” or a similar class before.

A large part of creating a successful painting is understanding values: lights and darks.  In this class you will learn how to see colours as “lights and darks” and paint value scales that will provide practice with mixing and seeing values. You will also practice various acrylic painting techniques, such as how to create transitions between light and dark or different textures.  At the end, recreate values from a photograph and use techniques learned, to do a simple painting.

Supplies included.

There will be a 1/2hr break for lunch.  Feel free to bring lunch or go out!
