Drawing: The Wonder of Trees
PREREQUISITE: “Drawing: The Right Approach” or equivalent experience.
Trees are a popular subject matter in art, whether it’s the cedars by Emily Carr, olive trees by Van Gogh or Mondrian’s abstract trees – trees can symbolize growth or strength. In this class you will capture a variety of types of trees; such as trees in different seasons or in the landscape. Other elements you will look at are perspective, movement, textures and how to draw leaves. You will also have a chance to draw an abstract rendition of a tree, using colour and/or pen and ink. Other materials we will use are graphite and charcoal.
All supplies included.
