Connection II
Connection II, 2020
In Connection II, the long skinny format shows an extended view from a hill where there is a campfire. The wilderness looks like areas where I live on Vancouver Island. Like the first Connection painting, in this piece you see the earth and space at the top of the painting. Here I am thinking about how “where we are” and “what we do” is connected to and happening at the same time as everything else in the world and universe. The fire reveals that people are present, but could be from any time in the past or present.
